ATLANTA (May 13, 2013) – Grammy ® Award- nominated, Dove, Stellar, GMWA, NAACP Image Award-Winning Singer DOTTIE PEOPLES teams up with Divine Dzion to create her signature line of pantyhose, “I Got This” Diva Line Hosiery, available online and in stores starting today.
“I’m excited to embark on this new adventure,” said Dottie. “In addition to music, I have always had a flair for fashion. Thanks to Divine Dzion, my dream to create stylish yet comfortable hosiery for the curvaceous woman has come true.”
“I Got This” Diva Line Hosiery is designed to complement a woman’s curves with hours of comfort and support. The reasonably priced pantyhose collection comes in a wide range of ultra-sheer colors, from “tempting tan” to “black charcoal,” and features a sleek, “barely there” feel. Available in a variety of regular and hard-to-find sizes, including A-Q3, “I Got This” Diva Line Hosiery is perfect for the everyday diva or a night of full-on diva glam.
“Whether on stage, in church, or at brunch with friends, it’s important for women of all shapes and sizes to feel beautiful,” explains Dottie. “Pantyhose are a key element in making a woman’s style look polished and sophisticated. A lot of women have a hard time finding hosiery to fit their body comfortably, and that can interfere with a woman’s self -confidence. My “I Got This” Diva Line Hosiery is designed to hug a woman’s curves so perfectly that she forgets she’s wearing pantyhose. When a woman can focus on how beautiful she feels, and is not distracted by ill-fitting attire, that’s when her inner diva shines!”

Dottie Peoples to Perform This Sunday In Tulsa, OK!
Atlanta, GA – The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association are happy to announce that gospel music icon Dottie Peoples will be performing Sunday during a Power to End Stroke Event at World Won For Christ Family Life Ministries, 1125 E. 36th St. North, Tulsa, OK, during the Feb. 24 service, which begins at 10 a.m.
There will be health screenings before and after the service as part of a new high blood pressure-lowering program.
Speakers from the American Stroke Association will encourage the audience to make lifestyle changes that will reduce blood pressure and lower the risk of stroke.
Stroke is the No. 4 cause of death for all Americans, and it has an even higher prevalence among African Americans.
African Americans have almost twice the risk of first-ever stroke compared with whites, and blacks 35 to 54 years of age have four times the risk for stroke.
The good news is that everyone can reduce the chance of having a stroke by learning the risk factors and working with a doctor to reduce personal risk.
The American Heart Association has identified seven steps for improving cardiovascular health and reducing risk for heart disease and stroke:
- Don’t smoke
- Maintain a healthy weight
- Get active
- Eat better
- Control cholesterol
- Manage blood pressure
- Reduce blood sugar
The most significant risk factor for both heart attack and stroke is high blood pressure. One in three Americans has high blood pressure and may not even realize it. That’s why high blood pressure is often called the “silent killer.”
The American Heart Association has a new program to monitor and lower blood pressure, and visitors to the Dottie Peoples event will have the opportunity to have their blood pressure checked and register for the monitoring program.
By reducing blood pressure through losing weight, eating more fruits and vegetables, and reducing sodium consumption to 1,500 mg per day, people can significantly reduce their risk of heart disease and stroke.
To learn more, the public is invited to hear Dottie Peoples perform at 10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at World Won For Christ Family Life Ministries, 1125 E. 36th St. North, Tulsa, OK.
Dottie Peoples is one of the most well-loved, respected and honored vocalists in the industry today. She has earned nominations and awards in every category available to her, including Best Traditional Gospel Album Dove Award in 2000 and Traditional Female Vocalist of the Year Stellar Award in 2004. She has also won the prestigious James Cleveland Lifetime Achievement Award. Altogether, she has 56 prestigious awards, nominations and recognitions.
